Yep..So I get a call from a buddy that gives me the coordinates in latitude and longitude..So I go to put the info in my GPS and it will only do UTM..OK So I do a little google action for the conversion..(Thinking like it is just a math conversion) and holy moly.. best as I could do was somewhere in China..Any body got a quick link ..or know how to get to a computer conversion?

You just need to change the settings in your GPS to align with the same type of data he gave you

Yep..Well That's easier said than done..I have contacted the manufacture and the tech didn't know how..However they sent me a e-manual..that's great..That's why I called in the first place as I couldn't find how to do the data change in the manul sent with the GPS..
That's why I thought a simple imput on a computer conversion would pop up the desires UTM grid from longitude and latitiude

So I get in contact with this cat that's passing the info..I tell him what's going on..So I ask him what roads he was on..he didn't know it was imput into his GPS by coordinates..well that ain't good..so I ask him what canyons he was in..he doesn't know..I ask him how many batterys he took for his GPS and he said 8..LOL

What GPS do you have? I have always been able to change between coordinate systems on mine.

Did you enter negative coordinates? West of the prime meridian requires the use of negative coordinates typically.

https://www.latlong.net/lat-long-utm.html

As stated your longitude needs to be entered as a negative number.

My dad had a Garmin eTrex, albeit a different model. The coordinate system choice should by on the Units page. Can you get to that page. I will try to look up the manual.

For clarification the Prime Meridian runs through England and if the waypoint you are trying to enter is in the US it will require a negative longitude.
