I found out freezing the apples for a couple days before grinding (thaw then shred) makes them soft. The cells break faster and release juice better which means a better yield of juice.
I pasteurize my juice (160 deg F for a couple minutes). Then ice bath the pot before pouring juice through a filtered funnel into A & W plastic half gallon jugs. I freeze everything and use as needed. I still have juice in the freezer from 2016.
Never too old to learn

not that can think of. probably can take some when we set up if youd like
How about this? This Or this With this mounted to heavy duty frame With this as the press basket Would have to construct frame and add spout to drain pan My concern is with the hole in the press basket riping or tearing mesh bag because the are holes vs being elongated holes.

Instead of a Porta Power unit, (kinda spendy), Harbor Freight also sells a hydraulic log splitter that would be perfect. with little mods needed.

Apples go into the RV sink on top Get ground up in the garbage disposal. Get pressed with a 6 ton hydraulic jack Strained through cheese cloth lined bucket with holes Drain into plastic pail.

How well does that waste king do? Is it easy to clean? 1 hp waste king? What kind of press set up do you have?

To answer your questions as best I can:
The disposal is a Waste King 8000. Horsepower, I don't recall, but, do believe it is 1 HP.
Cleaning is simple just run an bunch of clean water through it following the campaign. For the subsequent campaign start with a little chlorinated water, rinse it out, and you're good to go. I do not disassemble.
As for the press, that's it in the pic. Look carefully and you will see the jack in the image. Just put a wood plate over the mash and jack against the top bar.
