You should check out CableAble on here. He makes impressive catches and his main vehicle is his car.

I trapped out of my 2014 Subaru Outback a few times when my truck was in the garage. Road trapping for mink or beaver was a breeze. For canine trapping I used those rigs that turn a five gallon pail into a screw on lid. Those rigs I kept my clean traps in. Also used one of the screw on covers to store my lure/bait/urine bucket in. The old lady never once complained about odor so it must have worked ok. The seats go down giving you quite a lot of room but it was still a tad congested. The milage was awesome, which was a blessing with the low prices. If the weather was dry or the ground frozen you could go just about any where if you used common sense. I have been severely stuck a number of times with a pickup but by being cautious I never got stuck with that. Mac, the only times I ever got stuck with my old subs was in snow. Planted all of them one time or another in deep drifts, but in mud they were light enough, they hardly left a track. About like running a side by side. I forded a creek with mine one time, that had ice shelf on both banks and an open spot in the middle about a foot wide. Guy riding with me said he wanted out, and just called me crazy! Shot across that like nothing and climbed up the bank on the other side. The bridge had washed out since the year before, and I wasn't gonna backtrack thirty miles!

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

I used a car for a number of years in my young days. The only time it let me down is when the trunk lock broke and all my equipment was in it. Later on in life my wife and I owned a Mazda 323 station wagon that I drove to work 40 MPG front wheel drive, I used it to check water lines after work. A little better gas mileage than my '87 F250 4X4!

The folding back seat and large trash bags and some Raid to kill the fleas. Those are the big things to keep on hand.

I trapped out of a rental car last January when my truck broke down and I needed to check sets. I didn't see anything in the rental agreement about not using it as a trapping rig so... This is quite possibly the most hilarious thing on the internet!!!! If we could only see the reaction from the guy you returned this to. Sniffing all over trying to figure out what in the world that smell is. Ha ha ha It would have been even better if when you saw him investigating the smell that you said it was "just some beaver". LMAO
