Yes they raise them in a few areas in Pa. The ones I used in the cobbler were Salem peaches. I also got some white lady and donut peaches too. They had some sun hi peaches too but I didn't get any.

Looks good, I didnt know that you could raise peaches in Pennsylvania, There are plenty of orchards here in southeast PA that grow peaches. Plums, apricots, and nectarines too. The two-hundred acre farm bordering my property was almost all orchard forty-fifty years ago. It's a horse and hay farm now. There's an active forty-acre orchard about a mile south of me. Their main crop is apples but they also grow all of the above.
Eh...wot?

I blanch peel and slice them, dunk in a water with a little lemon juice to stop browning and freeze them in freezer bags. They still make great pie and cobbler. Mixed some with rhubarb and made a delicious cobbler this spring.

I got 2 nice boxes of Colorado peaches from Otis Latham at Coyote days. Already went thru 2 batches of peach crisp, in day and a half. I think I might founder.......and thats ok.

Too hot in sweet feed .... That cobbler looks wonderful ! I love making that for those who appreciate a plateful , topped with cream . True, it is so easy to have it every day !
