What is good stuff to use in my garage? Is the Tomcat green block stuff they sell at the farm store any good?

Professional baits are several times more palatable than the store-bought stuff. Half of my mouse jobs have a few D-con boxes lying around - untouched.

Dave, you need to qualify that answer! I find that store bought baits are twice as platable for our technicians as professional baits. ( I'm guessing that we save thousands by buying bait that says "skunk" somewhere on it! )

Larry: Here, try some of this cheese!
(Curly eats the cheese.)
Larry: How do you feel?
Curly: Never felt better in my life!
Larry: I knew it! I should have put more rat poison in it!

I have to agree with Dave. My experience has shown at least with a few products sold in Farm Stores and local hardware stores that consumers buy readily, that some rodenticide baits are not as appealing as some commercial products that we have found to be more acceptable.

When doing side by side monitoring with several type baits you will learn the favorites over time.

Perhaps....but we have found that success has a lot to do with placement.

I try to place in corners or along walls, and not right out in the open.
