I ate both raccoon & possum in my youth. I will not eat possum now cause you kick a dead cows belly and they run out the rectum. Coon, see wrist worms. Can't get past the mental portion of that. Ate em till I knew that. Beaver I only eat fresh, snare it, foothold it, kill it and I'll eat it. Dead in a 330 and I'll not. No canines. Cats- tried it on a bobcat and it was just really hard won (skinned,cut)
meat that was not as good a black angus. To much work. Never tried an otter cause nothing else would eat their carcasses so I figured I wouldn't either.


Not as bad as I could be, not as good as I should be.

Since the original thread was about snared meat,, I'll say that foot snared moose is pretty nasty! Don't ask how I know.

I have eaten Mexican food that was so highly spiced that it could have been any critter. One time in a popular taco place I found a #4 lead shot in my "beef" burrito.
