Been there done that accidentally while getting a phone call from my Aunt. Just be thankful you didn't go to the bathroom lol, done that to and it is much more unpleasant. Tell me about this seafood stew, sounds good.
I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

First I made shrimp stock from the shells three onions, two stalks of celery, 5 cloves of garlic, salt, pepper, and some chipotle pepper powder, in enough water to cover boiled for an hour. Then three pieces of bacon browned, then browned my onions, added a tablespoon of flour stirred for awhile, added 3 ancho peppers, one jalapeño, and three mushrooms (thats all I had) cooked them until soft. Then added a pint of home canned tomatoes, three cloves of garlic, and all of the shrimp stock then simmered for an hour. Then put a pound and a half of shrimp, a pint of scallops, and two monk fish filets cut in to bit size pieces, cooked them till just turning and added a pint of oysters, went until the shrimp was just about done, took the pot off the stove and let sit for 5 minuets til the instant rice was done and then ate.

Sounds like it just needs a quart of heavy cream.

If I was making gumbo ADC then the heavy cream gets used, when doing that you don’t count the calories. . UpstateNY to me it has more liquid to it than a marinara would have, but I can see where it could be thickened and made into a marinara real easily. Yup,sounds real good your way too though.

I made a painful one tonight, cutting up ancho peppers for supper after I cut them, and I put them in the pot for seafood stew, my eyes itched I turned put the cutting board in the and took my hands and rubbed my eyes. After a pint of milk poured over my eyeballs the burning finally slowed. That makes me remember when I got a piece of a crab shell with ole Bay seasoning in my eye, it burned for 1 week before that piece of shell came out and multiple trips to the eye dr.

I was taking some buddies spring turkey hunting and we hiked up a mountain and were going to camp in tents for the weekend. They had never hunted turkeys before we were all18 year old. We hunted the first morning and had a gobbler come in silent and on of the guys thought it was me getting up to try another spot. So we decided to go back to cook breakfast. I told one of them to cook the sausage links and eggs and I wood make coffee. I went and got water and setup the coffee I suddenly was aware of a bubbling noise. I looked towards the fire and the guy had melted two sticks of butter and put the sausage links in it. I asked him if he had ever cooked before because I haven’t been this method of cooking sausage links before. He said he had never cooked anything before. I can’t believe the entire pan didn’t catch on fire. I managed to take over and saved breakfast. Hard to imagine now that guy still hunts with me and always makes gourmet meals when his turn to cook.
