That about how I feel

The walmart I go in always sell guns and the last time I went in they where getting ready for the hunting season.I talk with the manager of that department off and on and told him that the NATO 7.65x51mm is the cheapest out there .He said he will keep it in stock that way I can get it anytime I want and others. also beside the 20 round box they got now 40 round box now for how it looks . This past Feb I got the bolts for my crossbow there when they had a sale on them to clear them out for the season. from $21 a box of them to $15 a box . When normal they go somewhere around over $30

My wife loves WalMart so we seldom pass one without stopping to check the "clearance items" (that strangely never appeared on the shelves previous to being clearance) consequently I have spent a lot of hours in various W stores over the 47 married years, often hanging around in or near the sporting goods, now in all those years of this I have never seen a single gun sold at any WM. I was told once that the gun display draws ammo sales. Any store in a location with a real outdoor store or real gun shop nearby could probably turn that space into profit by stocking it with stuff that might actually sell.

That's a good point. Very observant! wink grin

tjm, I don't recall ever seeing one actually being sold there either. I do know a guy who bought one there years ago.

Oddly, Walmart is about the only place left to buy paperback Western novels. One of the two Walmarts near me still carries guns and both have cheaper handgun ammo than other stores. I do hate going in there!

I will admit that I by guns at Walmart, but I only get them when they have a clearance sale. I have purchased 2 Ruger Americans for 184.00 each and I just bought a Savage Axis 2 stainless in 6.5 creedmore for 199.00. I fine some very good deals that make up for the lack of knowledge at the gun counter.

I will admit to buying Bibles from Walmart because they are the only store in town with a Choice Books display.
