What is a Bridge Bandit?
This term was coined back in 79-80 when I was a youngster with lots of energy.

Sounds like what we used to call Johnny Sneakums who ran traplines

by looking off (and under) bridges but had no traps of their own to check. frown

Yes, that covered about everybody including trappers that would go above and below other guys sets and block them off. Any eyes shining in the spotlight was a missing trap and fur.

A guy from Lincoln was longlining 70 miles away from town. He had a driver that stayed in the pickup and drive off if lights came down the road. When he went to sell fur he drove from buyer to buyer looking for the best bid and they spoiled on him.

Had a guy doing that here. We cannot trap in the right of way but he did at almost every culvert and tile under the road. I almost caught him several time but each time I saw him pulled over he would take off way faster than I wanted to follow someone.
