Unload out the tailgate.Handle by the tail and/or back legs. Throw them in the side door where the picture was taken. Have to screw the tailgate and cap doors shut as they will push/spread the truck bed enough that the tailgate will pop open. Price $1.00 a pound live weight. No real big ones, biggest maybe low to mid 40 pounds.

Your limit is double ours. We can keep one snapper per day, 13 inch carapace length minimum, and possess two at any one time!

I'm curious, what is the highest price per pound live weight you ever recieved over all of your years of trapping turtles..if you don't mind sharing.

Most I ever got was $4.00 a pound for females and $3.75 for males in 2008. Pounded it and caught almost 25,000 pounds that summer. Was like fur trapping in 1979!! No one had done turtles around here since the 60's. My average weight per snapper was 25.6 pounds. My best night ever was 72 snappers for 1826 pounds out of 10 traps. Some big boys in that bunch.
