Any thoughts?
I bought a couple of those black seat covers on the market, but when I get to my stand & remove them, they are too noisy.

I've always used remnants from carpet. Comfortable and quiet, use them for seating and on the platform.

I don't think that'd be waterproof though.

Any time you introduce water to a treestand you run the risk of noise especially on brisk days. Some need to treat their stands for noise control some don't, you may need to. I use old school ladder stands and the carpet works great for me and is very quiet.

A 1" pad of Mini Cell Foam works very well. It is used in kayaks and boats, archery targets etc.It is a closed sell foam and doesn't draw water. It isn't a bad idea to take it out with you as squirrels may pic at it.I had a bear cub tear up a seat once. This stuff can be cut on a band saw, with knives, can be filed and sanded. It's cool stuff.Find it at kayak and boat places or on Ebay. You can get many thicknesses.
