I finally drew a bobcat tag. I plan to trap, but also do some calling. What's a good mouth call for bobcat? I'm not referring to a diaphragm call, as I gag on them.

Burnham Brothers S2 or S4 calls are hard to beat for cats. I can make a bunch of different sounds with them. Cats usually don't come from a super far distance like a coyote. Also they have a wooden call that I really like to blow if I want a little more volume. I call a lot at nite. Also have a couple older Johnny Stewart Preymaster electronic callers. [Linked Image]

I, too, have the Johnny Stewart Preymaster digital caller. I see they have a bobcat calling card. I'll probably buy it. But I still will look into a mouth call. For coyotes, I have as much success with a mouth call as I do with a digital caller.

I really don't like the bobcat card for the Johnny Stewart Preymaster unit. I have called a lot of my cats in at nite using the hign pitched conttontail sounds that are on other J S Preymaster cards. And I have a couple Primos Catnip calls. This is a good call as I have called in some critters making sounds like cats do at mating time.
