Strong coffee and a beaver scramble. Put some lead in the pencil before some fishing and poking around the woods...

For me the only breakfast I gave that name to was huevos rancheros and a cold red beer after a long night out.

Never eaten beaver meat but I'll take your word for it.

I had the same thing this morning, except, I substituted ribeye for the beaver meat.

Best breakfast I ever ate was when my Sis and brother in law made prime rib and swedish pancakes for Christmas one morning. I was more interested in the food than presents

You are obviously young. I quit worrying about pencil lead several years ago. smile

When I read lead in the pencil and beaver meat my thoughts went the same way SundanceMtnMan went. Along with fishing and poking around the woods I was confused on what you were saying. It really could go two ways. So did you go outdoors or stay inside for your activities??

That looks great except for those pale looking pieces of such. What is that?

I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

A pink Onion? It looks like some translucent meat. I mean, I'd eat it but would be nice to know all the ingredients.

Egg, red onion, slow-cooked beaver, Johnny's seasoning. Simple. I know a lot of us on here won't eat beaver meat but I have found it's about the closest tasting thing to beef that isn't elk. And I've come to rely on it as a red meat in my freezer. I eat the hind-quarters. The rest gets used for coyote/wolf/cat bait.

They don't have red onions in Ohio???

Yes lol, but they don't look like that. Perhaps we are talking about two different things but hey, I would eat that any day. Great breakfast man. I do the same with groundhogs. If I don't get a deer, I have 30 plus in my freezer and get made fun of lol.

That was my worry also - I figured they were freshwater muscles or something similar. I'm glad they were just onions.

laugh I would eat all those items taken separately but those eggs are on the slimy side for me.

I also thought those pinkish-white things might be beaver oil sacks ...........knowing Eric the way we do.
