I bought a shaker siphon hose .Makes fluid transfer super easy $5.85 there are videos on youtube. [Linked Image]

Just a clear hose with a ball check valve you stick the end of the hose with the check valve into the liquid you want to siphon then shake it up and down a few times and it starts flowing. One of those why didnt i think of that things its going to make great gifts for the farmers and mechanics on my list

I use these frequently and have found the 10’ to be the most handy, especially if working with 15 or 55 gallon drums. Tie wrap the shaker end to a 5’ piece of rod, I use aluminum, with the pickup 1/2’ lower than the bottom of the rod. I zip tie the siphon tube up to 4’. This leaves a bit of handle to get the shaker working and direct the pickup where it is needed to be in the drum.
Makes working out of 55 gallon drums a snap!

They are great for siphoning fuel from an airplane wing also. Can't count the times I have swallowed avgas while siphoning from a wing over my head.
