52carl, that was my first though on the center swivel, but they have been using them in Idaho on wolves with no trouble. I jus want to get my hands on some.

Mr Harris has been to the NTA the last two years, very nice guy to talk to. If I remember correctly he wanted to get the wolf trap up to speed, before moving to the 2 smaller sizes.

Pat Ruland still lives in Broadus. I know him well but I am not him. LOL

I can't believe that cop put me in the back seat when I clearly called shotgun.

Seen this trap and look great but can't help but wonder how it would hold up in a lot of mud like we get down here.

Late to this thread but I thought you guys might be interested to know that I saw the two prototypes of the smaller sizes at the Montana convention and they are extremely well built. He says he’s hoping to have some ready for sale by the first of the year but from the sound of it he’s already got fifty or sixty dozen on the waiting list

I may well be picking nits here, but that is what I see. It may work just fine.

If it can also swing down so it's inline and pulls from the center after a catch it would be great. Would like to see the bottom view.

Dave Hastings had one at the trappers college he was showing to the students. I set it and handled it for awhile, and cannot see a fault in it. The biggest obsticle he faces is making them cheap enough so the average trapper can afford them!

Average trappers buy forgeign made average traps. These are going to appeal to the upper end guys.
The type of guy who would buy 550s (when they were USA made), Sterling's, Jake's etc.. In my opinion anyways.

I checked the out at the Western. Nice guy and amazing traps. The engineering and prototyping that went in to those had to be mind numbing. Truly innovative.

My question is this:. The problem they are created to solve is misses due to conventional pan designs?
Is that really a problem for folks?
