I want to hunt a polar bear. they were doing with dog teams and sleds. the dogs doubled as bear dogs. I think that would likely make your heart beat faster.
Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

The day will dawn in the not-too-distant future, when owning Greenland and all that frozen fresh water will be considered one of the brightest ideas America ever came up with, along the lines of that Alaska deal with the Russians. And, after we have used all the ice up there will be all the minerals and fossil fuels to gloat over. Greenland is likely to be the "Frontier" of the mid-to-late 21st century.

Just consider what California would trade for that water. Maybe they'd agree to leave the Union ! Those making fun of Trump might bite their tongues a bit if they understood that William Seward tried to buy Greenland in 1867 right after buying Alaska, and .......Truman tried to buy it in 1946. They must have really been stupid too !

Greenland belongs to the Inuit. They can see what happened to the other indigenous people that sold their land to the US govt. (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) would have to freeze over like Greenland before they would sell.Indigenous people didn't benefit at all from selling their land.At least they are starting to get it back in Canada.

Indigenous people didn't benefit at all from selling their land. Is that right ? you should visit the North Slope Borough and see how rich those Natives are. or look at some of the dividend checks they get from the other corporations set up by the government that they own now. Plus government contracts handed to them worth untold millions. Not to mention the casino money in the states and free health care for all. I would say that's better than starving to death with high infant mortality. That used to be the norm. Ask how many would like to go back to those days, I don't think you will find any takers.

Greenland is basically autonomous -home rule by the inuit. They have control of resources now thru agreements with Denmark, and are working towards full independence.
