Nice bulls. Interesting they let you pet them.
Give me a fish, I will eat for a day. Teach me to fish, I will eat for a lifetime

It's northern PA they are pretty much pets around here. The elk viewing place is only a few miles from are house were people from all over travel to see them. Most people that live around here are sick of them they just come threw eat your entire garden in a hour or your fruit trees and walk off haha. I don't mind them I enjoy watching all the animals that come threw the property but can't say that for 90% of the people loving around here. Now they give out x amount of bull and cow tags in a drawing for hunting. I don't see much skill it takes to hunt them here as it does out west. Just drive down the road threw are town and you will have your pick of the crop in everybody's yards. Hey hammer, I probably drove by your house a time or two. Before they started shooting the tame elk I would drive over there (from Hyner) and look at them about 10 times a year. Some are even showing up around our old family camp (near Piper).

If you drive threw weedville pa to get to the elk viewing area you weren't far from are home we have 88 acres just off of 255 heading to st marys. Tamed they are. They have started spreading out pretty far in the past ten years. I mostly traveled 555. Wife always had to stop at some antique shop out that way. I think it was Hollywood Antiques. In the late 1970's I trapped fox along the Caledonia Pike got my first coyote up near Piper in 1976.
