Boy, those are some nice cars. Nessy, last time I was in New Hampshire there were a number off crows on the edge of the road looking over a fallen comrade. It seems as though they had caw, caw, caw down they had not yet mastered truck, truck, truck.

I am a Chevrolet guy, but when I go to a classic car show, I find myself enjoying the body styling of the other GM brands and walking right past the Chevelles. Plain Jane except on race day. Fast was always more important than looks to me! Had a 57 chevy station wagon with a 375hp 396 in it when I got home from nam. It was ugly, but run, it did! You had a 57 wagon too...we must be related....

Point proven again, Chevy equals fast.
I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

I've had lots of old Pontiacs
'69 gto, 400 ram air III, tri-power switched that to a 428 with RAV heads etc 67 Ventura, 400, 4 barrel, 4 speed, breaker less factory distributer, 8 lug wheels 65 gto 455SD with sequential FI, 5 speed 71 LeMans Sport, 400, 4 barrel, 4 speed 68 Lemans 350 2 barrel, red convertible 65 Tempest wagon, 326 HO, 5 speed 65 Tempest 326 HO, 4 speed, and I'm sure there was more, just can't remember them all.
I also had a 67 Chevelle, Face facts, chevies were a step down from Pontiacs, the interiors were cheap, dash and gages 2nd rate. Any car can be made fast.
The year I graduated HS ('76) I had the 69 GTO at that time it had a RA III 400 with a tri power on it, my older brother had a '69 Z28, my younger brother a '70 Chevelle SS396 and my cousin who was living with us at the time had a '72 GTO with a 455HO. We raced many times, The quickest was the '72 GTO, it was geared nicely with 3.90's, my GTO had highway gears, 2.73's, I was the fastest, on a long enough straight I caught and passed them all, the Chevelle 2nd quickest and the Z28 was way 3rd fastest. After I switched to a 428 with RAV top end I also went to 4.10 gears then I killed them all easily.
My favorite was the '67 ventura, it just such a cool car, all original, bench seats, 4 speed. That car had a heater that heated up the inside so much you could cook a turkey in there!!
