Face-value tickets in historic Lambeau Field start at $109 or so for a regular season game where you get to see all the starters actually trying and the game matters. I went to 3 games last year and later in the season tickets were dirt cheap. I dont think I paid more than $50/each for any game, and even got a pair of tickets for free and my wife got sick Sunday morning so I went alone and sold the extra ticket for $20 in the parking lot.

I agree...that seems really high for a pre-season game.

Gotta resurrect this post real quick in case anyone isn't watching. Due to poor field conditions, the field was shortened to 80 yards and neither team is playing starters. The stands look super empty!

What a joke! What's wrong with the field? This is why the US didn't want to annex Canada....they cant do the simplest things right.

At first I thought it was issues with the turf in endzones, but I heard one of the announcers say something about the padding around the goalposts being insufficient. Apparently there was some uncertainty about whether or not the game was even going to happen. Less than a half an hour before the game and none of the coaches or players were out on the field.

here is one thing about the local loyality to the local team Blue Bombers and the tailgating etc, that just did not get through......Winnipeg has the highest ticket price for Winnipeg Jets games but this just did not go across to the NFL. Besides ticket prices can not be written off on taxes like they are in the USA as business expenses.
There was new goal post installed because it is a different size etc.

We're winning, but it's obvious the turf is in bad shape. Whoever was in charge of applying the little black pellets on the turf must've gotten paid by the pellet, because it looks like there are way too many out there and guys on both teams are falling down a lot. If I was Lafluer, I wouldn't bring the team back out for the 2nd half. WR St Brown got his foot caught in the turf while getting tackled and twisted his leg pretty bad then got smacked in the head by a defender leading with his helmet. So he's out, and our #1 draft pick got hurt twice.

Trevor Davis and Kumrow are looking good though.

So they installed new goalposts or at least moved them to the back of the endzone because CFL goalposts are actually in the endzone. They had to fill the holes from the other goalposts and both teams seemed they did a terrible job filling the holes so they shortened the field 10 yards on both sides.

With all the money they lost over ticket sales..........don't think they are coming back anytime soon from that promotor.

The one game price was equal to a whole seasons worth of the Blue Bommers'
But it did end like all other games in that field, last play wins.
