Well, here we are at Flandrau State Park in Minnesota. Just dropped my son off at Martin Luther College. We spent a couple of nights there since it's only about 5 minutes from the college. He's pretty amazing to me. All conference Offensive Line and Defensive End, 195 lb weight class Conference Champion in Wresting, Enlisted in the National Guard. He did his Basic Training last summer, and just got back from Artillery School 3 weeks ago. Worked on a Horse Ranch for three years. Bought his own truck and pays for everything that goes with it himself. I guess he's worth the second job I took to help out with tuition. We'll miss him, but glad when he can home for awhile. I'm pretty proud of him.

Sounds like you have a good young man there and you have the right to be proud of him.

Thanks Zim. I seem to recall more that few white hairs on your head too. Alydia plan on being there Friday and spending the night in the tent. Melissa has to see about work. It was pretty nice last year with him getting two right off the bat. I got to sleep a couple of days.

congrats,whats the secret to raising a great one? mine rode the bus 12 miles to school for a full day of kindergarten today. Long way to go.

Wish I could tell you West. It was just him and the Lord, I just paid the bills. He also rode the bus about 12 miles to town everyday he was in school, until he got his truck. Here he is playing MLC football against St. Olaf.

So what will he be studying?

To be a Pastor. 4 years of Greek, Hebrew, German, and other classes, before Seminary.

Snowy, we are part of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutherans (WELS). There are WELS churches all over the Nation / World. A guy I went to school with a has a son that graduated from there, that was called to a church in Alaska. MLC has students from all 50 states, and couple of foreign nations. They're a good bunch of kids there. All them are either becoming teachers or pastors.

Dakota says some of the kids he's talking to either hunt and/or fish, and show an interest in his trapping experiences.
