Anyone know what kind of coin this is? Or have any info on it? A guy said he found it while hunting arrow heads.

I wasn't sure what it is the guy cant see well so I was telling him it looked Greek but wasn't sure. He thought it may have been fake. I thought it looked like a old coin. Pretty neat none the less.

Looks real and valuable to me. BTW, I don't know squat about coins.

Matt, definately have it looked at by several coin experts. I say several, because the value is relative, and they're stories should match!

Most ancient coins like that have very little cash value. There are huge amounts of ancient coins around still. Large caches of ancient coins are still found pretty often. That does not diminish their coolness.

X2 unless their silver or gold and even the he silver ones unless some rare variation are little more the. Silver value

I have a friend that has a collection of foreign coins that he has found while detecting including several ancient Roman and Greek coins, he explains it like this many immigrants bring along keepsakes or lucky pieces and some of them loose them which makes detecting more fun

If that is real, it is the only one ever stamped perfectly. They were struck really hard with a big hammer, one shot. They did not come out as neat as this one looks.

I would guess that is a reproduction. They were never struck that nice, and it seems too big for the type. Although they are cool to have, they usually don’t carry much value. It is cool to have something that could be nearly 2000 years old.
