Has anyone used JC Conner's new stake puller? It has a lift head and a ratcheting head on opposite ends. It looks handy and works with both rebar and earth anchors: http://www.jcconner.com/tips2.html#16

I haven't tried that one. I use the Freedom Brand Stake Puller from F & T. I really like it, makes pulling stakes so much easier than the old way.

Eh...wot?

I have used it extensively in ALL sorts of ground conditions...very nice addition to anyone's trap box. Very simple to use and if you go on the J.C. Conner website you can get more info and tips.

Thanks, Lugnut and MChewk! I've been using a rather heavy but solid 2x4ish piece of maple that works well all rigged up, but it's a pain to carry around. The Freedom stake puller was what I was going to get until I saw JC's puller.

Having had the pleasure of buying traps from JC's family (more of a family than a company), he is one dude that I would like to meet in person one day.

If you're a Ford fan you'll get along well with the old fart. His wife, Mary Ann, doesn't seem to care so much about auto makes, is a lot prettier and easier to talk to than the crotchety old fart - lol. Seriously, if JC makes it, it will be top of the line and extremely dependable. He don't make junk.

No wonder he kept mentioning what a nice truck I had one night when I gave him a ride and we sat for 2 hours talking, he'd never been inside a chevy before, lol.
