Rob-No need to apologize. A great trap. A great design. And I am glad they are still being made in the US!!! And sold by the best company I have ever dealt with. With that being said-if you ever produce a 650 sized MB550 I will take the first 20 dozen!!!

I can't say enough good things about the MB750-Alaskan trap and all the great things MTP has done for its customers, trapping in general, and wolf trapping in particular. They've always treated me extremely well. My hat is off to the entire operation and each of the employees. I got nothing but respect. We're all rooting for you, Nancy.

I completely agree with what's been said. Every product I have from from you guys, the MB crunch proofs, chain, and MB750s both wolf and beaver are extremely high quality and I will without a doubt be purchasing more. Great job by the Cavens and MTP in general. Jeff is always a great pleasure to deal with via email or on the phone. Nancy is in my thoughts and has my best wishes.

MTP. Having been a customer for around 25 years just continue to do business as you have always done.

Sounds like they do what they can to provide the best and try to please both crowds. Plenty of people talk about how great a trap they are but they're to expensive for them. Now others are wanting to pay more for 100% made in America.

I try to deal exclusively with Minnesota Trapline. I've tried almost every trap out there. I always use the MB-550 as the standard I modify the rest to. I would've saved a lot of money if I would've taken Jeff's advice and gone edith the MB-550 exclusively right off the bat. Great company, great products, great service, great people.

When I need trapping stuff I just hit the MTP website and it's here promptly, would encourage others to do the same. Thanks. mb550s and bridger2 dogless modified are the bomb!

I have dealt with MTP since they started up in business. Great folks to deal with. Don't know what this post is referring to.
But, in case Rob read this, I love the MB550 but if you would make the trap with a pan that was adjustable I would be appreciative. To me, it would be perfect at that point.
I know that guys adjust it by bending the dog etc. but to me it would be an incredible improvement to make the pan adjustable. Too much monkeying around for my liking.
Keep up the good work. And like I said, great folks to deal with.
Mac

OK, I looked up the line and found Rob's post. Good post.
Rob, an expert with traps like yourself can probably adjust those fine traps.
An old fart like me has not found a way to do so easily and reliably.
Still MTP and MB trap fan. I know I am a very small fish in a very big sea of trappers. I only have 3 dozen MB 550's but I need an easy way to adjust them. LOL

i first tried a 550 this past season and oh boy was I impressed big time. I was equally impressed with how well MTP takes care of their customers. customer service is through the roof at this supplier. will continue to order from them each year whatever supplies I need that I don't get at conventions. keep up the great work Rob and all. Nancy always in my prayers!

Hey Mac, are you going over to Windsor next month? If you are we need to talk about this. I'll bring a four coil and show you how to monkey with it. In less time than it takes to type this we can set it to your liking.

Would a 6 inch jaw spread adjustable dogless with the same frame and jaw design as the 550 do the trick??

Thanks for the explanation Rob.. Keep up the great work..

Not sure what all the fuss is about as I don't follow the threads like I ust to but I will say I have known the Cavens longer than most, Tim and Nancy before some of the kids were born as the entire family is "the salt of the earth". They have done more for trapping and its past, present and most likely future that anyone I know. Keep up the good work MTP and don't change what you are doing.
