I need help posting a photo! Anyone want to pm me their cell number that knows how to post a photo on here from their phone???(I will zap a photo to you and you can post it ) I filled my "once-in-a-lifetime" bull elk tag this a.m. with a decent 5x5. It was, literally, the first elk killed in the 2019 hunt (we have to phone in when we kill one). The story will follow a photo post.

I have no idea! It isn't a big bull by most elk standards. It is just a nice representative bull for here. There were a couple bulls on this property that were honest to goodness whoppers. I didn't see them (except in trailcam photos). One was a 7x6 that would /will go well over 330. The other was over 300. Mine wouldn't even warrant slowing the truck down in New Mexico!

Yep..Great..It's not every day that a person has the opportunity to hunt elk..I'm sure the tag up there was tough to draw..How long you been putting in?..Anyways there's a pile of hunters waiting to go out archery in Colorado this coming weekend..I saw a camp that had to have at least a $1,000,000 dollars worth of equipment..Mini Petes/living quarter trailers/horses&mules...I would have rather been on your hunt...looks peaceful

Sweet bull man! Especially on a once in a lifetime tag. Any bull is a good bull! Thank you Wild! The All Purpose Boy and I were sitting in an old shed/blind about an hour before shooting hours opened. At daybreak (windy, rainy, and black!) we could see two bulls feeding in a corn field, but they were about 280'ish yards off and we couldn't tell what head gear they had. It took a bit for it to light up enough to tell one was a 5x5 and one a slightly smaller 5x4. The wind was gusting enough that I really didn't want to shoot that far, so my son broke out his cow call and in a short time both bulls were under 100 yards away. One came home with us. He must have liked what he heard, because he trotted the last 100 or so yards. 7mag 168 gr. Berger bullets handloaded by a neighbor. Golden Eagle 7000 rifle.

I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....
