There is a message pinned at the top of the page (not the thread). Read that too, still confused. I think his apology is for using the jaws that were made for the Bridgers for the MBs until they find an alternative foundry to cast USA made jaws.

I have dealt with MTP since they started up in business. Great folks to deal with. Don't know what this post is referring to. But, in case Rob read this, I love the MB550 but if you would make the trap with a pan that was adjustable I would be appreciative. To me, it would be perfect at that point. I know that guys adjust it by bending the dog etc. but to me it would be an incredible improvement to make the pan adjustable. Too much monkeying around for my liking. Keep up the good work. And like I said, great folks to deal with. Mac
OK, I looked up the line and found Rob's post. Good post. Rob, an expert with traps like yourself can probably adjust those fine traps. An old fart like me has not found a way to do so easily and reliably. Still MTP and MB trap fan. I know I am a very small fish in a very big sea of trappers. I only have 3 dozen MB 550's but I need an easy way to adjust them. LOL Mac Hey Mac, are you going over to Windsor next month? If you are we need to talk about this. I'll bring a four coil and show you how to monkey with it. In less time than it takes to type this we can set it to your liking. I am going to try to. You at camp? I will private mail you if I can make it. Thanks

MTP is one of the best suppliers and trap manufacturers we have and probably ever will have. I'll stick with the Cavens come (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) or high water. They've earned my respect and loyalty because of their demonstrated hard work, honesty, genuine dedication to fellow trappers, and for being good people by doing the right thing.
A big thanks to the Caven family and their extended family at Minnesota Trapline Products!

Rob-No need to apologize. A great trap. A great design. And I am glad they are still being made in the US!!! And sold by the best company I have ever dealt with. With that being said-if you ever produce a 650 sized MB550 I will take the first 20 dozen!!! Rob-No need to apologize. A great trap. A great design. I agree, a #3 size style MB550 would be awesome

That settles it. Was looking at another brand, but I guess I’ll buy my 5th dozen of the MB’s. I don’t have time to mess with traps, call me lazy but I like opening the box, spraying them off and setting them. Pretty shiny brand new traps catch critters too, lol.
