2-3 days. With beets l like to let them soak longer, 2 weeks plus in the fridge. Someone posted on the other thread about pouring the brine in hot and the are soaked all the way through quicker. I’m gonna try that next time.

Eggs look good. Need to make me some for salmon camp! Nothing better than fresh smoked salmon, beer and pickled eggs for dinner.

That is some mighty good looking pickled eggs. I had some about a week ago I found in the pantry hidden behind some other cans. Going to finish them off this week for dinner with a few slices of homemade bread and fresh peach jam.

Even more so if consumed with beer.

I want to try making some. Would duck or chicken eggs be better?

Trapping is easy you say? You try getting your target animal to step in a 3 inch area of its whole territory.

Couldn't wait any longer and tried one of mine with lunch today and it was pretty good, but definitely needs to soak a little longer.

That cooking method from the video coyotesoldier229 posted worked great. Cold start, add the eggs and bring to a boil. Let boil for 2 minutes then cover and remove from heat for 8 minutes. Then cool the water enough to be able to stick your hands in the pot, add some baking soda and peel. Most of the eggs practically jumped out of their shells. Thanks for the video.

Looking forward to how this batch progresses. Might need to make up a couple more just so I have some on hand when these are gone so I dont have to wait as long next time.

I have found that those insta pot pressure cookers are great for hardboiled eggs. Even fresh eggs peel perfectly, usually the shell comes off in two halves. mike

IMO, anybody that would eat pickled eggs would eat - - - - - - - -! Use your imagination to fill in the blanks. Ugh! grin
