Priced some 30k to 70k mileage 1/2 ton extended cabs. HOLY MOLY! They are proud of them. $25000 - $33000. Leaning real hard toward the 4.6 crate motor. As several others have said - the no payment plan is really nice.

Had a friend who just put a new motor in a 2010 Tahoe. Spent around $6000. It got hit in a parking garage and they totaled it because of mileage on the vehicle. He is getting a check for less than what he paid for the motor and has to buy a different rig. Something to consider.

I would drop a new motor in it.
