Missoula is alright, afar as visiting family and friends. I believe you would enjoy the area.

Do it, Missoula needs your influence, relatively speaking it's not that bad. You can get out of town and into some great country pretty fast.

I agree with Snowy.

As much as I DON'T like Missoula ..............put your name in the hat !

I did my time at Fort Rucker Alabama and there is absolutely not much worse than that !

I disagree, as Chief of Police you will serve at the pleasure of the Mayor. Seems like in that situation he's a far left leaning fella. If you are a Conservative you will be scrapping everyday. If you love misery, then listen to those who say go for it. I say, why put yourself and your family through that. Pick a better place, they exist.

I appreciate all the input. Boco I’ve never really targeted cats but I guess I’d learn quickly in Montana.

I have no doubt that I could do a good job and that I’m more that qualified. It’s just that I’m sitting pretty right now in what I’m doing. Not so sure I want to give up a sure thing where I am. I like the people and am liked by the people so that counts for something.

I may put my name in and see how it goes. That is if the boss lady gives her blessing, which is be a pretty big sell on my part. I’ll let you all know how it all shakes out. Deadline to apply is Sept. 30 so I have a bit.

For you and the wannabe follower lol, there is no such place in the buckeye State or any State like that. Libs are everywhere so why not land a elected position instead of a appointed one where your up against the wall everyday choosing at what point to lose your soul lol. No brainer here in Ohio.....

I liked living in Montana, and enjoyed the visits I made to Missoula.

If you do not try for the job you know there is no way you will get it.
If you do try you may or may not get it.
If it is offered to you, you can visit the area and evaluate the situation and make the decision to move or not.
In any case, good luck.

If I could make the deal, I’d give Missoula to Kalifornia, in turn, no more left coasters can move here.

I’d make that deal all week and twice on Sunday.

Exactly, and others on this thread are willingly trying to send the OP to his doom. When you know 100% the statistics, they say things like it's worth putting your chit in the hat, it doesn't hurt to ask lol. Seriously, if you are a Conservative, why consider it? If you didn't know earlier, you should now.

Of course Ken, I have considered that otherwise I would not have posted as I have. Times have changed, he will not make a difference in a lib stronghold, times have changed. Only in my humble opinion, he should stay in the stronghold of what we hold dear and plant roots. 10 years ago you would have said the same thing if the OP was in Georgia or.....The choir is getting small man.
