Funny you should ask this. I had a landowner ask me the same thing today about the same kind of tree so I will be paying attention to this thread too.
Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.

Google buffalo-berry (Shepherdia). Looks close, but your first image shows pointed leaves, and I don't remember them with pointed leaves.

Not a gooseberry. They have leaves like currants. It looks like a chokecherry to me. A member of the Prunus family.

That doesn't look like choke cherry to me. They hang on a little runner off the branch not connected to it

Could be autumn olive, very similar to the bush honeysuckles. Look at the underside of the leaves, autumn olive leaves are silver on the bottom, tartarian honeysuckles are green. Both are invasive species.
