Hello, need your input on a good deer cart? I don't have an ATV yet, maybe next year. Have always dragged them out (not getting easier). So this year, I want to try a deer cart for hauling various things in the woods and around the yard. I would like to stay within the $150.00 range if possible. Thanks for all your help. Sarge

The kind that fold up for transport are best....

Look on Cabelas. My hunting bunch have used them for years. Look for a deluxe game cart. $150. They fold in half when not in use.

My son has one of these. Absolutely loves it.

Kill shot from discount ramps. The 750# version. Get one with the tallest tires you can.

Another vote for the Cabelas game cart that folds in 1/2... $150 well spent.

Find one with cambered wheels. Works best for hauling out through uneven terrain and going over logs.
Less likely to tip. Going through a bean field or flat field it doesn’t matter but through a swamp or rugged
wood lot a cambered wheel will not tip over.

I use an ice sled which works great especially if going up hill.
Easy to load into my minivan and the blood was contained in the sled.

X3 for the Cabelas deluxe game cart. It's got the taller wheels compared to the regular one and seems a little heavier built. To me it's the best hunting investment I've made.

I have a cabelas mag cart but this season I will be trying quartering and hauling out with a pack. The cabelas is a decent cart but bring something to tie the deer off. Thru the woods and hills it is a pia to cart a deer. A small tarp with a pull handle may work better depending on the terrain.

Save your money for your atv. Or, learn how to break down in the field and carry the meat out. I doubt one would carry out 40% of the weight. I know I am not one to whittle away on each rib trying to get every speck of meat out.......

I have a baby jogging stroller that I converted to field use by stripping off the un needed stuff. In the correct terrain it works really well for hauling in/out up to 60# of gear. Goes thru light brush with really no trouble. It may sound goofy but it works really well depending on the terrain.

Buy a plastic children's snow sled. Step inside the loop of rope and skid your deer out to your vehicle. Tie the deer to the sled.

Best deer cart in the history of EVER.

Made one from a scrap bed frame, PSP window guards, used fence post', and a couple of bicycle wheels. Ugly as sin, but works great. I made the handles long to set on the truck bed, and lift the whole thing and Deer up into the bed. Easy peasy!

I built mine using the handles of 2 lawnmowers, and wheels of a dead high wheel lawn mower. Extra webbing from a boat cover woven between the handles. slide deer on wheel to truck, slide deer off into back of truck.

IMO the best pack cart is on my back or by mule or horse. Haven't been involved with dragging, hauling, pulling in over 40 years. Quarter and packer and pack work best for me, and can do it alone.

Last year to haul a nice buck out the woods. I used a radio flyer wagon. My wife laughed till no end. Kinda goofy, but it worked.
The days of dragging them or hauling 150 lb deer across my shoulders are gone. Could I do it, sure, only if I don't care to walk the next day.

I don't gut deer around were I hunt. It only invites yotes, the deer disappear when there is yote activity in my area.
