jctunnelrat trapper J Joined: Nov 2013 Posts: 1,020 ohio	Looks like a "web worm". Not sure from the pic. The web worms are in N. Ohio but never had a problem with them in the pines. Usually the wild cherry trees get them. jim

Northof50 trapper N Joined: Dec 2008 Posts: 8,209 Manitoba	Does that sawfly climb up when it lays it's eggs, so you can put a tanglefoot tape around the trunk and stop re-infestation. I think the adults lay the eggs near the overwinter buds and start chewing on new sprouts.
