Artificial stocks are soulless. But in bad weather, which always seems to accompany our hunting season, they are the way to go. After a few days in rain even the best-sealed wood stock will absorb water, swell, and possibly change point of impact.

if your question is , what is the shipping to AK , and your getting the numbers you are or no response , they likely don't want to have to deal with shipping to AK , they know what the 48 cost and don't want to take the time to look for the other 2.

What exactly did they do, Osky?
Jim James the seller posted the gun as a no reserve item. I was the hi bidder until the last couple of minutes when the seller bid for his own gun slightly over me. I can accept that tho it still goes against " no reserve". The topper was not 15 minutes after the sale ended, the same exact gun, numbers etc were once again posted and advertised as no reserve. The seller who I named above apparently sells enough items on the site so that Gunbroaker would not respond in any way to my concerns. Poor way to run an honest business, and they will get no more of mine. If this nonsense is allowed what else is overlooked? Osky

Osky is correct IMO. That place dose a lot of volume. We sometimes forget these sites are about money more so than keeping a buyer happy.

I won’t buy anything from them.

It’s darn near impossible to stop shill bidding online. Regardless if the website is diligent or not. In regards synthetic stocks, they are an abomination. Oh I’ve heard all arguments, weather and rust resistant etc. pick any brand new synthetic stock firearm you wish. I’ll choose the dinged up, gouged and hunted veteran every time. 1912 Fox 12g. My current go to shotgun bought $450 on Gunbroker. My gosh if this thing could talk

Osky I hear ya, that kind of stuffs been going on since the beginning of time. Whether live auctions or on the internet. Its tough to prove legally and probably not worth the venues time to pursue.

James, sorry you haven't had the cooperation yet as you need, from Gunbroker . I bought my 300 mag Weatherby M V from Gunbroker , had a wonderful experience. The seller was in Georgia and the rifle is as tiger eye gemstone from forestock to rear. I was amazed there wasn't more bidding for it. It was used, but in mint condition. Actually, I was the only one that put a bid down on it. I was in contact with the seller the whole time. When the time frame ended , I was the only one who bid - out of not a few Weatherbys, but not one looked the way this one did. It is among the most gorgeous wood grain stocks Ive ever seen. With no carvings or inlay to mar the wood finish. Pure northern light swirls, all through it. It has to be seen in full sunlight , turning it to see them shimmer . What was cool, was that the seller , who ran a gun shop , found out who I illustrate for in outdoor magazines, and said as an artist , I need a gun like that , and waived my bid, the processing fee, and the cost of the gun case to transport it . He hardly made anything off of it. I bought it for a song. All he wanted was to see a pic of the first game I shot with it , which I sent to his email. Put a new Leupold scope on it , zeroed in, it shoots like a dream. 160user, beauty of a rifle you have too. The stock recoil pad on Weatherby looked a lot like yours in colour, which I had taken off and a black soft one put on, the black makes the wood and dark bolt and barrel much more matching and streamlined, to me. I would say keep trying, James. You could get a wonderful one from there .

Likely it's already sold and the poster is tired of answering or just a bunghole that can't be bothered. Happens to me all the time

Also, I suspect, when they don't answer questions about the gun's condition, it's because the gun is bad news.

Jim Let the buyer beware. If they don't answer, you probably don't want to do business with them anyway. Charlie
