Scientists say a shift away from eating meat toward plant-based diets could yield big dividends in the fight against climate change. Reduced meat consumption means lower emissions from livestock and the fertilizer needed to sustain them but also provides an opportunity to reforest land that farmers would have otherwise used for grazing. Rethinking the human diet across the globe could drive emissions reductions of up to 8 gigatonnes annually, according to the report, greater than an entire year of emissions in the U.S.

My red meat consumption is derived from deer and elk, so I think that gives me a pass

I thought we had moved on from cow farts. First it was fossil fuels, then cow farts. I though it was now caused by too many people and we had to start reducing the population. I can't keep up.

Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

The Dems are gonna lose, and lose royally, if they keep up this nonsense.
Yesterday, Andrew Yang says the government needs to confiscate gas guzzling cars. They’ll be prying me cold dead hands from the steering wheels of my big block Chevelles.
I agree

The anti- cuss monitor here will not allow me to say what I'm thinking. They can take my beef if they can get past everything else they want to take. Not likely.

First it was the cow's poo, now it is our poo. We need to eat more meat. I figure not only the beef is producing the gasses, it has to be the goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, ducks, geese, deer, moose, elk, bear and all those types of critters so to save the world keep eating meat!!!!!! Hey wait, horses and mules, dogs they must be producing the gasses also

No, if I stopped raising and eating beef, I would have to mow more. Most of the meat I eat comes from my farm or friends' farms. Most of the fruit I eat comes from here too.
So are goats and sheep supposed to be less flatulent?
What about all the other herbivores that cover vast amounts of the earth, like the Serengeti? Maybe we should carpet bomb all the antelopes, zebras, water buffalo and wildebeest, for the children? We should probably carpet bomb the caribou, bison and all species of deer too. Vegetarians pass a lot of gas.
I fail to see how replacing bison with cattle changes things much, except that the bison were free to roam to new pastures.
It's past time to tell people with stupid, liberal ideas NO!!!
