Just wondering if these 5˘ round gum/peanut machines are worth anything? [Linked Image]

I will do some research can't find anything on them except what you see.

They would be worth more if they had gum balls in them. smile

One of the best places to look for value of fairly common antique items is Ebay. I do it several times a week.

Cleaned up very nice. The only issue is I don't have a key but will look around and see if I can find one. I have two of them both I don't believe ever been used.

Anyone know how hard it would be to pick this lock?

Snowy - those locks are pretty universal and simple. Many antique stores have them if you know what you are looking for. I have a ton of old keys, I will check and see what I have
That is a nice item to have on display - and if you have grandkids, or other young ones they will love it when you stock it up with goodies.

Double wafer cylinder. Those are not to bad. Have to do both sides at same time.

snowy, I would bet it takes the same key as the others like it. I would bet you can get one on e-bay.

Thanks Cathouse Jim. I actually have a two year old in mind to give her one if I can get it opened and find a key or make a key.

So double wafer can you show me what I need to do to make two picks? I'm wondering if the head where the key goes in just comes out when open?

MJM >>> ya most likely but not sure what I'm looking for. Lol

Went to a sight called wyoderauction.com and they had one like you pictured in good shape selling for $200.

When using the EBAY website look on the left side of page near the bottom and you will see "completed items". This will give a more accurate value as this is what things have actually sold for not what people would like to get for their product.
