Did I read this correctly? It's going to cost 3/4 of a million dollars every year to enforce an anti-conservation related effort which if left alone would have made them money?

"To enforce the bill, the Department of Fish and Wildlife would have to create four new positions with an initial cost of $853,000, according to documents by the Appropriations Committee. In following years, the cost would be $750,000 annually."

Yeah nyhuntfish..... but it makes them feel better. They're now on the moral high ground.

And don't forget...this state also seems to have enough money to fund illegal alien health care! This is such a bunch of ....$%#@!

Must've been a few bureaucrats that weren't happy with their current positions and wanted a change. These crooks will be pulling in around $200k annually.

And then after these State workers retire they will still be paying them a nearly full wages for their pension, so the costs will just keep escalating.
I have a friend who is getting ready to retire from Cal-Fire and expects his annual pension to be near $190K.
If CA didn't have the resources is does have it would have gone officially bankrupt a long time ago.

Every politician is looking for an issue that provokes emotions from the public to use to their advantage. It allows them to say look at all the good I'm doing!!

This I believe if I'm reading correctly is a Second bill, independent of the "trapping ban" signed into law last week.

What about all the Hollywood actors that like their canada goose jackets?

And I guess it's okay to sell marijuana, cigarettes and alcohol. But not fur?!?!
