Took photos of these mushrooms that were in our lawn at the lake. Anybody know what they are?

Don't have a clue but I won't eat them.

Look a lot like shaggy manes, they turn black pretty quick.

But, they are mushrooms, so exercise caution.

I don't know what they are. Sure don't plan on eating them. Thought maybe one of you would know. We seem to have quite a few mushroom experts on here.
One of my dogs was showing an interest in them. I pulled them before one of them could eat one.

I think everyone puts a ? at the end because you cannot really identify a mushroom with a couple photos off the internet. I would say with 80% certainty that they are coprinus which is both ink caps and shaggy mane.

In looking them up on the internet, I think you're probably right. They seem to turn black progressively from the bottom up.

Shaggy Manes, in the Ink Cap family, they are edible, but they go bad quick, and "melt" into black goo.
