I was on an overnight float trip some years ago and as we slid down the river we came across a Baptism under a bridge.

My church is primarily Russian immigrants and their families, there are a few Ukrainians, Poles and some others in the bunch.
The flowers are just a cultural thing that comes with these folks; along with great food, and sauna.

I'm offended that you're offended.

Love the pics the OP posted of a beautiful event....Those young people have transformed their lives.

Here is the local baptism spot in a creek below my home.
The pastor is a grandfather to former Ky governor Steve Beshear....Bro. Eddie Beshear circa 1940's.
Some of my relatives are in the background watching.

Baptisms are sacred.

I’m kind of sheltered but I’m use to infants being baptized. Is this something that adults go thru in the baptist faith? I grew up catholic, sorry for the stupid question

Baptists as well as many other protestant denominations baptize adults because these denominations believe that baptism is an act of obedience that signifies dying to our old self, then burial (under water) then coming out of the water which represent eternal life or resurrection .

We believe that baptism takes place after a person makes a decision to follow Jesus Christ, therefore not applicable to infants.
We do however have a rather informal ceremony where parents dedicate their infants to Jesus Christ and vow to raise them in a Godly manner. It's then up to the child as they grow up to decide for themselves if they want to follow Christ. You can't force or coercer a person into faith, that's been tried in the past; didn't work out too well.

There have been many contentious debates about this subject; I don't want to start one here, just attempting to answer your question.
