I think you did just fine, the # 14 Newhouse is worth that just by itself.

Are the jaw lugs there on the Ranger?

Any stampings on the Newhouse springs?

I've never seen a Newhouse that needed auxiliary springs like on the 1.5

I have not try to clean them up what should I use ? I have also never seen a 1-1/2 with that auxiliary it is to much you cant set it , all the teeth are really nice

Take an old toothbrush and a can of WD 40 and see what the pans look like. Won't hurt the patina.

Looks like you got your money's worth. The 1.5 might have been in a fire and lost the temper on the original main spring.

The Easy Set in the picture has a rather poor pan. Difficult to read and it appears to have some pitting. I doubt WD 40 is going to improve it. To me, that trap is worth $10.00 or less. A nice wall hanger but very little collector value.

If the trap was complete and the pan more readable, probably $20.00. Maybe slightly more.
