Finally got a job and two weeks later got this little heffier


1990 D21 4x4 auto transmission. Has around 343000 miles on it and has been kept pretty well. It's a little on the sluggish side but I tho k she's gonna be just the ticket. Guy I bought it from had kept it pretty well serviced so other than a weld to where the rear high attached to the frame seems to not need much at all. Feel pretty lucky too because he showed me the messages of about 20 guys who contacted him after me. Early bird catches the worm I guess

That D21 engine is almost indestructible....I had a '93 that really got punished and held up well.

That's a nice rig... it should take you through any gumbo you want to drive through. Can't wait to see the possums and yotes stacked up in the back.

That 1990 looks in very good shape for 29 years and 350k. It looks like it lived in the South all those years.Trucks up here in our winters with sand, salt etc. would mostly be disintegrated at that age. Even if cleaned frequently etc. We are starting to use more sand and less salt and also we are using a lot of treatment laid down early that helps preventing so much vehicle damage.
When I traveled in Germany, Austria and central Europe I talked with some farmers who bought Mercedes that were 10-12 years old with 500 kilometers on them and they expected to drive them that long and put on another 400-500K. They were all diesels also.

Sweet rig, Wolfdog! I have a ‘96 that I got late last year and I really like it. Just like yours, it’s in awesome shape. Can’t believe the lack of rust on mine. I think you’ll like it a lot. Mine has the 4 cyl so it’s a little on the weak side but 4 low does an awesome job
