Been a tough day here. My trapping buddy and the one who got us into trapping left for Paris Island today. Gonna be a rough 13 weeks. Please send prayers his way to be strong. He's the one closest to the camera.

Charles- He has been the most patriotic young man I know. He considers it his duty. Has been thinking about this for a few years.

Been there. Watched one son take off to the Air Force & another to the Army. It is tough, but it also makes you proud of them. He will be all right Dad, trust me.

My family will pray. I bet it’s tough. I drove one of my employees to town 10 years ago for a bus heading the same way. Dang near killed me, but boy I was proud.

Myself and both my sons are in the military. It's bitter sweet but I know you're a proud papa. Congrats! I'm sure he'll do great!

Get some! I'm not a parent but I am a Marine. Gotta be tough I can imagine. My dad refused to see me off to boot camp.

You did good in raising him be proud.

He will be fine. That brings back memories when I left for basic training way back in 1969. The first day or two seem to be the hardest, after that one starts to adjust.

Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.
