I was going to start making some waxed dirt and grabbed my bag of wax flakes in my pole building and it now is a bumpy solid block of wax. Oops, I didn't think it got hot enough in there to melt it. Well that sucks, learn something new every day. It is supposed to get real hot the week so maybe I will wait and try and pick some more up at the ISTA convention on Friday the 20th when I am down there. If none of the vendors have any I will order it when I am sure it is cool enough it won't turn into a big chunk of wax on me in the UPS truck.

Anyone going on Friday to ISTA convention? I will say hello if so.

flake it - not like it changed chemical composition - whittle it, chunk it, scrape it, grate it, block it - whatever, it will all melt again

I have a round arbor with a piece of chain saw blade on it that fits on a 4 inch grinder that I use to rough out big wood carvings that would make nice meltable chips. Good thinking guys, I will try and use it! It went from soft and fluffy to a large brick and I guess I was mad at myself and not thinking.

If using a mixer, just melt it and add to your dirt. I tried it last year and worked good.

Not going to mix with the sand/dirt until it is melted and the sand is hot enough to keep it melted and mixed. Just get to heating things up and mixing.
