I want to start a coyote bait station but thought it might affect deer. I’m not trying to hunt deer over the same pile but I’d rather not mess the deer up on this smaller farm. Let me know what you think.

Yep. Got to agree with beav

Snow tells a lot of stories and it has taught me a ton about coyote/deer movement

Every day is a gift from GOD, don't waste it!!

If they have plenty of food, give them something interesting to smell

Same here. Put up a camera and see for yourself, seems to draw both in.

Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.

All I will say smart mature bucks act a lot different than "deer". Doubt the bait would scare them but depending how close to the bedding area of a mature buck you are the extra activity might.

I would agree it depends where you put it. If in an area well away from heavy cover or bedding areas, no problem at all. I put mine out in a crop field. If you put it near a bedding area or travel way, the traffic could cause the deer to change patterns.

One year I put out chopped up deer liver in front of a trail camera,to attract coyotes.
In one week I had 1 picture of a coyote.
Every day I had pictures of many different deer, bucks, does, yearlings.
