Awesome sheep awesome scenic countryside ,and love that Dall Sheep .Next to a nice deer mount my favorite mount is a Dall Sheep . What did you use to kill it I used a weatherby mark v lightweight in a Remington 280 caliber. Topped with a Swarovski 3 1/2 to 18 by 44 scope. Ammo was 150 gr hornady eldx bullets. Very accurate and did the job ok, but wouldn't use them on any bigger game than this, fwiw.

Mostly knocks them dead on the spot .Again a great looking trophy

The shots were 275 yards. Both were killing shots. This is what's left of the only bullet recovered, complete separation. This is from a non magnum round. Very poor performance in my book. I would never consider using this ammo on anything bigger than deer.

Great mounts! I just had a good friend of mine take a Dall Sheep. It had a full curl and as always he gets the full body mount. Thanks for the pictures and story.

I'd say it weighs a little more, but the body size is about the same as a mature mule deer. The head and horns weigh about 35 lbs or so alone. I was meaning mule deer when I said deer sized game. The 280 is a great round, I love mine. You just have to make sure you match the bullet you use to the size and toughness of the animals your using it on. Imo.
