I'm trying to replace the chain on some of my #2 dls. Is there a trick to putting a new J-hook in the spring clevis, without removing the jaws/spring?
Thanks.
Tony

I had the same problem with #3's but had some j hooks from Ed at pit pans and they went in good and are very good (high in carbon). These won't work for the #2's but I believe you can order ones that will fit without removing the spring from Sterling Fur. With my #2's that I kept I used a quick link on the frame with new #2 chain and I like that set up. Learned that one from JabNe (sp) on here. Hope this helps DD.

I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

Think I'd just put an oversized qucklink in the spring or frame and then attach a trap swivel.
