Ohmar and AOC show how important primary elections can be. Neither one would stand a chance in a general election if there was a chance of the other side winning.

Ohmar beat a long time state representative Kahn for a state seat in the primaries. Was kind of shocking on a local level, once she received the Democrat nomination she was a shoo in after that the rest is history.

Same with AOC, she beat out a long time incumbent, no way it should have happened other than complacency on the part of her Democrat rival.

If Stalin himself won the party endorsement in those two district he'd win handily.

Someone will surely run for the Democrat nomination for that seat next year, it will be interesting to see how that goes.

Hopefully, there will be enough voters in that district with common sense that will vote her out. An ex-marine is running against her. Only negative for him is that he's a republican. Pretty hard for a republican to win in that left-leaning district.

I've always said we can patrol our own borders with the National Guard. Stop sending them to foreign lands. Their original intent was homeland security.
