So, any Sushi connoisseurs here? Heading out in a bit to indulge a bit. I am a big fan of sushi rolls with salmon, tuna, eel sauce, etc.. Love that stuff an, believe it or not, St. Cloud, MN has one of the best sushi joints I have been in.

Anytime I get into the city I try to get sushi. I also enjoy salmon and tuna rolls. There's this dragon roll this place serves that I also like.

I really enjoy the tuna !! I suspect I would not consider eating it if salt water wasn't nearby. Just because of quality, not safety.

Can't help you there as I make my own. It would be rude not to, given that my sushi has to calm down a bit to stay on the rice, its that fresh.

My wife makes sushi regularly, but every now and then I take her out so she can see what the pros are doing.

You suck! Do you make your own wasabi? Is it hard to grow horseradish on a boat?

How does she stack up? Sushi seems to be pretty straightforward.

Um, what exactly do you mean?

She suits me, let me put it that way.

There's a lot more to good sushi making than meets the eye.

Its a Nevada thing but at least once a month for all you can eat $25 per person. With the casinos we get fresh seafood here pretty easily brought over from san fan.

Good stuff! I used to have a buddy that worked at a fish market and was also a chef. He would make huge platters of it. I miss those days.

River Birch, that is American-style sushi. But it looks delicious regardless.

I cheat with the wasabi and buy it in a tube ... then again, i don't grow my own rice either. The trick is the fish has to be really fresh and sliced very thin across the grain / fibers. in the light there should be a rainbow shimmer on the flesh if done right. To do that is relatively easy with the right tools.

We enjoy sushi and often make our own with fresh fish we catch. Tuna is my favorite. Wahoo is delicious and has a nice texture. My wife’s favorite is salmon. My son eats just about anything.

Yes Jim I agree.... I usually order from the "sashimi" menu it's without all the rice... I think sushi is fish on rice?
