He called me tonight, they got a cow for his hunting partner, the other guy blew two chances on a couple bulls. Jason says when he got off mule his friend knew something was up and got down, they backed mules up, crawled to a rock pile to try for a shot. In the rocks a spike saw them he stood at attention, a rag horn came down and stared with the spike, he figured the gig was up, but they were able to get back out of there without spooking the elk, They had to re stalk the bull , he was lower by a cow. The cow and bull didn't react to the spike and raghorn becoming allert. Jason told his buddy to stay there while he crawled to a spot to try a shot, the cow spotted him or movement, but for some reason it didn't bark or run, the bull got to 80 yds and he shot, the bull was just starting to react to the allert cow. He double lunged him a little high, but it was a fatal shot. Real awesome, lucky too, hardly no bugling these days, bulls are smartening up It was poor hunting he said, too warm also I have 4-5 more pictures of the bull
