The same could be said for the republican party. They're just a little slower about it than the democrats.

Unfortunately I have to agree J and I think white is right in recommending the SAF. Between them and the GOA, we have a shot. Sorry but the NRA is no longer in the field for keeping our Constitutional rights. Side note, Heller secured only the individual rights to bear arms, great yes, but with so many wide open windows.

Okay, I just joined the SAF.

Won't rejoin NRA though.

It really rubs me that so many places require an NRA membership. I'm it a member of clubs because of that. Would be interesting if some of these clubs updated to just belonging to any pro 2A or hunting organization of your choice.

Reasons why the gun battle will continue far into the future, both sides use gun control rhetoric to raise funds. If NRA was in favor of the 2nd they would not have campaigned for 1934 NFA nor have written the basis for every states gun control laws, they are in it for the money, and if the Dems wanted full gun control it would have happened long ago, by continuing the argument, they not only gather funding for the anti campaign but stack up blocks of voters. Neither has any reason to resolve the issue.

Insurance may be the reason for that. My little blackpowder club gets our range insurance thru the NRA. I'm not totally sure, but I think we have to have a certain number of NRA members to qualify.
