Anyone know if a bag shell corn for cpl bucks from feed mill is best or more expensive bag of cracked corn from farm store is best ? For $8? Bigger bag at farm supply store. Not sure if difference if dry out more or any difference, I see online that 1 bag for $2 is 10 lbs, other is 50 lbs, how good well corn keep ? I have 12 plus lbs if chesp Kat food to mix it with, plus small marshmellows an powder, how much corn should mix in? 10 lbs enough ? Not sure if dry out with smaller bag , the reason I ask, I never made my own dp bait, how much corn to use? Probly with birds an corn ?

Sorry coonman . I’m not much help. I use floating fish food. Corn will keep a long time if it doesn’t get wet.
Everything the left touches it destroys

I use dry cat food 95% of the time, but I'm thinking I'll try corn soon just as a video topic on my channel, should be interesting.

I got 50 lbs bag crack corn , is whole Kernal corn better? Crack corn was on sale for $6 for 50 lbs bag, enough to last me 2 to 3 yrs if keep, probly use some inside coon pockets, is there much danger of non target bird in dp, if mix in crack corn with cheap Kat food bait heavy ? I never heard of bird get caught in dp?

Mice always problem in some places. Can't keep trap bait enough in daytime when check an fill to top an clesn out next morning, just wonder if crack corn or whole Kernal better? Might be good to put inside pocket with fish or above pocket when rain high water coming for still chance at coon in flooded pocket , so not a problem wirh birds in dp ? Definately could in foothold , might only be ok in pockets if use a lil an just sometimes an careful where place crack corn, that bag well last year's. Maybe we'll feed birds an squirrels in backyard in winter, way back aways from house

Floating fish food with a shot of used cooking oil/shellfish oil mix as a trailing scent.

How would u apply used cooking oil an spread it an get to dry up on ur bait ? The thing I don't like other than dry bait is any bait other dry, freezes, I guess it would turn to white lard, after u apply the used cooking oil
