Victor out of site traps are the most versatile for me.

Gophers eat grain and plant material but moles eat worms, grubs and insects. Very different in the way you can control. So be sure of what you have before you attempt control. There are no legal or effective grain based poisons for moles that I am aware of. If you have MOLES, traps are the way to go and I agree with the above posters that the Out of Site (oos) mole trap works very well.

I like these Nash choker loop traps, they work the best for me.

An old neighbor was the "lawn type". When he would get moles he would walk all of the tunnels down and wait on the patio with a carp spear. When he saw the ground moving, he would sneak up on it and spear the heck out of it with a blue cloud coming out of his mouth. He usually got them. Sometimes there would only be blood on the spear, but that was a dead mole any way. When he got them up out of the ground, he would watch them wiggle on the spear and call them names.
